Portuguese Influence on the Laws Sri Lanka (1505 – 1696 AD)

The rulers did not introduce Portuguese Law to Ceylon. Therefore, the Portuguese influence was very minimal. By Malwana Convention, the colonisers agreed to apply the Sinhala Laws, and there were modifications since it was enforced by Portuguese rulers.
